Levels plant protein: Their best kept secret

Recently, I have started using a new protein powder from a brand that I found while in a deep google search for CLEAN ingredient plant protein. It was a task, let me tell you!

There are SO MANY protein brands out there. A lot have the exact same ingredients, but wayyyyy different price tags. Not only is the price of some of these outrageous, most of the time there are only 15 servings per container. That is not financially suitable for me personally, and I’m sure a ton of other people agree.

One brand kept coming up in my searches though, and I was intrigued. It’s called Levels protein, and they are pretty popular for their whey protein… BUT they do actually make a plant protein. You just wouldn’t know it if you follow them on social media. All of their ads are for the whey protein, and not a whisper of the plant one. That got me thinking, are they ashamed that they make a delicious, creamy, and light as air vegan protein!?

I started tagging them in my posts using said protein powder and at first I got no response. Then one day they finally interacted with me and commented and liked a couple things, even shared them in their stories which I was so excited about. But I realized it’s only the photos that don’t actually show the bag of plant protein that they shared. Is that not strange to anyone else?

Back to why it’s my new favorite though, AND why I got a monthly subscription! FIRST: look at the ingredients:

Nothing fake ever is the slogan. And that’s what drew me here. No sucralose, not unnecessary ingredients, just simple protein blends, a little flavor and some thickeners and stevia. Some people are nit-picky about thickeners but I personally don’t have any issues with them. They also test for heavy metals and I am always weary about brands who don’t disclose that. Protein powders are well known for being easily contaminated during the process of manufacturing.

If you want to read more about their testing, here’s the link to their faq.

I found quite few brands that have a ton of added adaptogens, and superfoods but I already get some of those in my morning “coffee”( more on that in a different post), so I didn’t find them necessary. Also it jacks up the price!

SECOND: there are 30 servings in this 2 lb bag! Yes THIRTY. And the subscription is only $44 per month. I compared many many proteins and this one is one of the best price points for the servings you get. The other brand that came close was Ascent, which I really want to try because it’s NSF certified, and is also 29 servings for about the same price.

The only issue I have is that I like to just toss some protein in a shaker with almond milk and drink it as a snack at work… but by itself, the taste isn’t that great. Added to pats or yogurt bows or a smoothie though, chefs kiss!

My favorite ways to use it are adding it to my Silk Greek yogurt, and topping it with frozen blueberries, OR my go to overnight oats.. also with blueberries, and sunbutter.

In yogurt, it’s so light weight and airy, it turns my yogurt bowl into a yummy vanilla whipped cream! It’s soooo good! I’m obsessed. In oats it doesn’t have that “protein “ aftertaste that almost every brand has. It’s so silk and light you can’t even tell it’s in there other than the yummy vanilla flavor. I really love it.

They also have a really cool stainless steel shaker bottle that I of course had to get. It’s really high quality, and even has a lock on the lid to keep it from popping open in your bag or spilling in your car. The lid is hard plastic but has a thin coating of silicone on top as well. It’s the nicest shaker bottle I’ve ever had.

They offer a vanilla batter and a chocolate flavor of the plant protein, and they have whey, collagen, and casein proteins as well. If you want to check them out I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

When you sign up for a subscription or make a purchase, you can start earning rewards! I got a $5 reward immediately for following some of the ways they have for you to get points, so I used it to purchase the shaker bottle. You also get a code to share, and when someone uses your link they save 15% on their first purchase. You also get 15% off so it’s a win win really.

Here’s my link to Save 15% if you want to try Levels for yourself 🙃.

Happy 4th of July weekend if you are in the US. Otherwise… happy Saturday!
